simple spring table

I have been a lazy blogger lately, instead focusing on the outside, working in the yard and getting spring chores done. I set the table this morning for dinner in a few days when my mother and friend visit. Will make a simple dinner, not sure until I visit the grocery that morning to see what looks good.

We are starting to paint the wall of bookshelves in the hall leading to our bedroom. After hearing all the necessary steps from our handyman to deal with the existing finish-  deglosser, sanding, primer and paint, I decided to just try Annie Sloan paint instead. We tested a part of it and it held up nicely and covered beautifully so we will proceed once I receive the paint from the local stockist. They were running low and needed to reorder.

Will be back with more next week!

Thanks for visiting!
Cindy

  1. So pretty, glad you were able to cut your daffodils before Mother Nature hit! How exciting, that project will make such dramatic difference, can't wait to see the transformation!

  2. Hi, Cindy - So pretty!!! Are those lovely daffodils from your garden? A lot of mine wilted when we had that mini heat wave last week :( Enjoy dinner with your mother and friend!
