need a good laugh?
Then you need to tune into Graham Norton's chat show on BBC America. He is very funny, sweet, lovable and charming. Well known guests visit him, all on a couch together chatting. Last night we watched two episodes on the DVR... Sir David Attenborough, Cameron Diaz and British director/actor/comedian Kathy Burke and then Gerard Butler, with two British actors, Karen Gillan and Martin Freeman (about to be well known as the lead actor in The Hobbit). Much more spontaneous and irreverent than American talk shows. We laugh out loud throughout each episode, something rather rare!

Downton depression
We are quite sad at the prospect of no Downton Abbey until January 2013 so have been immersed in You Tube videos and past episodes on PBS. There are lots of interviews with the actors, tours of the castle by the creator of the series, Julian Fellowes and the historical advisor and expert on British aristocracy, Alistair Burke. It's fun to see the actors in modern day speech and clothing speak about their characters. Check out Downton Abbey You Tube videos here.
A tour by the Countess of Carnarvon who lives in Highclere Castle with her husband, whose family has owned the home since the 1600's, and their family.
