our little pig's passing

Sad news over here.
Our daughter's little cherished guinea pig that lived in NYC with her passed away suddenly yesterday. Many tears are being shed for our beloved little Marshmallow. Enjoy some shots of her having a fun day in Central Park last summer.

Losing a pet never gets easier, no matter how old you are or how many you have had.

Wasn't she the cutest little pig ever? She was an actress too, starring in a full length movie a few years ago made in college by some of our daughter's friends.

Hug and kiss your pets today, you never know what day might be their last. Marshmallow appeared happy and healthy with no signs of illness. Rest in peace little pig.

  1. oh la la, sadness. I just discovered your blog following a link and here I am reading this sad news. If it is any consolation, she seems to have had a happy life and died while happy.

  2. She is the cutest pig I have EVER seen!! I love these pictures of her! What an adventure-pig!! I am so terribly sorry that she is gone! Please give my condolences to your daughter, I know she must be miserable to have lost such a sweet and charming companion. I have had dogs my entire life, and I know just how much it hurts to loose such a dear and stalwart friend. Best wishes to all of you.

  3. I'm so sorry for your loss of little Marshmallow. She was adorable. I'm amazed that your daughter could have her out at Central Park and she didn't run away! She must've been a happy pig. It's so hard to lose a beloved pet, no matter its age or what type of pet it is. I know how sad you must be. Thinking of you,

  4. Oh Cindy, that is the sweetest, cutest, most poignant "ode" to a pig! How very very sweet, to take her to Central Park and photograph her. I love it. Losing a pet is so so hard: we had such a hard time when our dog died that I doubt we will ever have another one. Can't go through that again.
