"The original Vera is back... the Vera who signed her art with a ladybug. Yes, that Vera, Vera Neumann. She is an American icon. She began a business at her kitchen table in 1946. By the 70's, she had built a $100 million business. Her products were sold around the world. All of her products (scarves, linens, apparel, etc.) started as an original piece of art from her own hand. She created the first signature scarf and the first printed sheet. She was the first "superwoman"... wife, mother, artist, world traveler, and entrepreneur. After her death in 1993, the company was bought and sold and, sadly, the art and twenty thousand silk scarves ended up in a warehouse in Americus, Georgia. Happily, Susan Seid discovered them in 2003 and in 2005 she purchased all of the assets including the art, scarves, trademarks and copyrights creating The Vera Company LLC. Susan and her management team are passionate about introducing Vera to a new generation of consumers."
