Mount Desert Island off the coast of Maine is home to the charming town of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, a majestic glacier shaped area with the highest peak on the East Coast, the pink granite Cadillac Mountain. There are plenty of places to stay and lots of restaurants in Bar Harbor. Don't forget to order lobster!
