Hi everyone!
I started blogging as a creative outlet in 2011, sharing random things I liked along with posts of my gardens and travels. I had nothing to promote and just did it for fun.
I have since become an empty nester living in a cottage in a small town in North Carolina along with my husband who works at home. I no longer have extensive gardens and ponds to photograph as we have a wooded shady lot. I have not had much to share for some time so my energy for blogging has waned. There are so many blogs and so much interesting digital media out there, there is plenty of inspiration elsewhere.
So I will bid adieu and will continue to read my favorite blogs. Thank you for all your comments and emails. I appreciate each and every one of them!
Thanks for visiting!
Cindy
Cindy, I am so sorry to hear this. I have really enjoyed reading your blog, seeing your travels and your new house and it's totally thanks to you that we now own a dining bench! You gave me the idea!
ReplyDeleteHow is your Etsy shop going? Will you continue with that? Some day maybe we can meet up: I would love to have you here, or maybe we'll make a trip out there some time! Good luck, and please do let us hear from you!
My sweet friend, it makes me sad, but I completely understand. You know I've loved you and your blog and all you've shared over the years, thank you so much for all the beautiful inspiration and ideas. I'm so glad you're on IG and I can keep up with you there. Enjoy your gorgeous new home and that adorable baby! xoxo, Pam
ReplyDeleteP.S. I think of you every time I wear my pretty jewelry. :)
Oh noooo! Say it isn't so! Cindy, yours is one of my favorite blogs because it's authentic, personal and real. I am so sad to see you go. I truly enjoy the posts of your new home, the gorgeous mountain setting you live in, your adorable new pup, your travels. I hope you will reconsider and maybe just take a break from blogging, but if you truly want to say goodbye to blogging, I understand. It does take a certain level of commitment, time and energy. I've had moments of wanting to give it up too. Please continue to stay in touch, and I hope we'll get to meet in person some day soon.

Hi Cindy, I have always enjoyed your blog - your gardens, your house hunting, your new home and your travels. I will miss your beautiful photographs!
ReplyDeleteBut I understand how you are feeling. I took a break from my blog for about nine months (!). Then I felt like starting up again, so I was glad I hadn't deleted the whole thing. Inspiration may return! I'll keep my fingers crossed. Meanwhile, happy puppy times and shade gardening. Best wishes,
Suzanne
Hi Cindy - Hope you'll change your mind!!! Take a short break and come back. I've enjoyed following you from Ohio to North Carolina. Blogging won't be the same without you. I'm just glad we connected early on! Will stay in touch via IG.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Loi
PS - Thanks so much for being one of my early readers. Your support made all the difference.
I came upon the photos of your last yard and recognized a real gardening talent! That is when I started following. I also think you were incredibly brave to change your mind and direction and leave SC for NC mtns! I was impressed. I wish you well and guess I will have to find you on Instagram. Karen
