planting amaryllis bulbs for January cabin fever

Another easy bulb to grow during the holidays is Amaryllis or Hippeastrum. Grown in nutritious soil, they should be be placed in soil up to the neck of the bulb. Place in bright light and water sparingly until the bulb begins to grow and then water more often. They bloom 7-10 weeks after planting. For more information, go here. Unlike paperwhites, amaryllis can bloom again, to learn how, go here.
